I was lucky enough to be onboard for this 2-night travel agent & media cruise, and while it was short, it gave me a really solid feel for what this cruise line is all about bold, modern, and completely reimagining what cruising looks like.

Let’s talk about one of the biggest highlights—the food.


🍽️ The Wake

Hands down, one of the best meals I’ve had at sea.
The steak? To die for. Elegant, refined, and absolutely worth booking.


🌮 Pink Agave

Bold flavours, vibrant atmosphere—this one was a standout.


🥐 The Galley (Virgin’s “buffet”)

Forget what you think you know about cruise buffets.
This is more like an upmarket food court, with fresh, made-to-order options for breakfast and lunch.


🍕 The Pizza Place

Casual, easy, and honestly… some of the best pizza at sea.
Perfect for a laid-back dinner—especially on Scarlet Night.

Sail Away & Scarlet Night

  • The sail away party out of Sydney Harbour was such a vibe—music, energy, and that iconic backdrop
  • Scarlet Night? Think high-energy, immersive party atmosphere


Entertainment

The shows were next level—acrobatics, performances, and production quality that genuinely surprised me.
This isn’t your standard cruise entertainment—it’s edgy, bold, and seriously impressive.


Wellness & Fitness

  • The gym is huge with so much variety
  • The walking track loops the entire ship—perfect for getting your steps in with ocean views


Chill Time

  • The Aquatic Club & pool deck quickly became a favourite
  • Think cocktails, sun lounges, and that relaxed-but-social atmosphere
Cabins & Ship design

One of the highlights of being on a media sailing was the chance to inspect all cabin categories—and they’ve done a great job.


The design is:

  • Sleek and modern
  • Smart use of space
  • A little bit different from traditional cruise cabins


Everything feels fresh, contemporary, and very “Virgin.”

Is Virgin Voyages right for you?

Let’s be real—this cruise line isn’t for everyone.

It’s:
